The Dr. Oz Show has built a reputation for educating its audience on how to eat healthy.

On Thursday, the show aired a segment where a veteran food journalist visited Mattituck for a stop at North Fork Potato Chips.

The show’s focus was on how to make healthier choices when choosing between low-calorie potato chips and regular potato chips. Food journalist Mark Schatzker reported that regular potato chips were a healthier choice because they contain fewer artificial ingredients.

Then Schatzker traveled to Sidor Farms on the North Fork, with a camera crew, to learn how they make North Fork Potato Chips.
