Spooky Night Tours

Take a spooky night tour of the Hallockville Homestead in Riverhead on Friday, October 21.

Visitors will hear scary tales, have ghostly encounters with live performers and much more family-friendly fun.

50-minute guided tours will run throughout the farm from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $10 per person/$8 for members. Children 10 and under are free. To purchase tickets go to hallockville.com. Hallockville Museum Farm is located at 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead.

Run for the Ridley 5K Race

Run to benefit the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation on Saturday, October 22 in Riverhead.

The race begins on Main Street and ends on McDermott Avenue. There will be awards for top finishers, as well as within age categories, plus prizes for individual fundraisers.

Check-in is 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the municipal parking lot along the Peconic River. The cost to register on Saturday is $30. For more information go to runfortheridley5k.itsyourrace.com.

Tour the East End Mushroom Company

Take a tour of the East End Mushroom Company in Cutchogue on Saturday, October 22.

Tour the growing facility while learning about the different varieties grown there.

The tour starts at 10 a.m. Space is limited and reservations are required, so call (631) 876-5401 to secure  a spot. The East End Mushroom Company is located at 22355 Route 48 in Cutchogue.

Family Nature Scavenger Hunt

Join Group for the East End and Lyrical Children on Saturday, October 22 for their 4th annual family nature scavenger hunt.

This fun event takes place along the nature trails of Downs Farm Preserve in Cutchogue and helps connect families with music and the great outdoors.

This event takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Advance registration is encouraged and a suggested family donation of $5 is requested. For reservations or information, contact Jessica Kennelly at (631) 765-6450 ext. 215 or [email protected]. Sunday Supper & Autumn Farm Experience

Celebrate harvest season with a traditional North Fork supper in East Marion on Sunday, October 23.

Enjoy smoked meats and grilled foods as featured on PBS’s “George Hirsch Lifestyle.” Hirsch himself will host the supper at Sep’s Farm, along with the Sep family. There will also be farm salads, sides, fresh-baked cobbler and herbal ice tea. Craft beer & wine will be sold separately.

Supper will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Advance tickets are required. Adults are $20, plus a $1.69 fee. Children 6 to 12 are $10, plus a $1.14 fee. Children under 6 are free. Visit eventbrite.com to buy tickets. Sep’s Farm is located at 7395 Main Road in East Marion.
