Old Town Arts & Crafts Fair

Shop for homemade and handmade goods by local artists, artisans and craftspeople at the Old Town Arts and Crafts Fair in Cutchogue on Saturday, October 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fine art, photography, jewelry and many more handmade items will be available for sale.

Admission is free.

HappyFest Obstacle Course & Festival

Experience an all-ages, all-abilities, accessible obstacle course at Long Island Sports Park in Calverton on Saturday, October 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

HappyFest is designed so that every member of the family and their friends can do this one-plus mile long obstacle course and cross the finish line together. There will also be free fitness classes, medals, games, T-shirts and live music.

Advance registration is recommended. Call (888) 593-0087 to find out about rates for groups and families of 4 or more. Day of event pricing is $49 for adults or $39 for children ages 3 to 12. Boat Show & Demo Weekend

See the latest in recreational watercrafts at Port of Egypt Marine’s Semi-Annual In-Water Boat Show on Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

Come see all the new Gradys. Sea trials will also be available.

Hallockville Mourning Rituals Talk & Tour

Take an interactive tour exploring the Victorian culture of mourning on Saturday, October 15 between 12:15 and 2:15 p.m. at Hallockville Museum Farm.

This is an historical look at the food, fashion, literature and bizarre mourning rituals of Victorian society, as you tour the historic homestead with a curator and professional storyteller.

There are three tours offered: 12:15, 1:15 and 2:15 p.m. The tour is free for members, $7 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. Call (631) 298-5292 in advance to reserve a spot or book online at hallockville.com. Hallockville Museum Farm is located 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead.

Family Scarecrow Build-off

Join Riverhead Town’s Recreation Department for a Family Scarecrow building competition on Saturday, October 15 from 2 to 4 p.m.

This event will take place Stotzky Park. Hay will be provided, though contestants should bring scarecrow clothing and accessories. Prizes will be awarded for the silliest, most traditional, most creative and most likely to scare crows. There will be a $5 fee.
