Food lovers are invited to celebrate the autumn harvest by sharing in a North Fork Sunday supper created by TV Chef George Hirsch and food writer Alex Goetzfried at Sep’s Farm in East Marion later this month.

Grilled and smoked meats will be served along with just picked farm vegetables, salads and sides. There will also be fresh baked cobbler for dessert and herbal iced tea. Craft beers and wine will be sold separately.

Acclaimed chef and cookbook author George Hirsch is the producer and host of the PBS show George Hirsch Lifestyle, which is produced in the Hamptons.

“Growing up, Sunday was the one day our family set aside all activities to break bread as one,” Hirsch said in press release for the event. “We’re recreating this tradition with our extended East End families at this traditional Sunday afternoon supper with fresh picked produce from Sep’s Farm and some of our family’s favorite dishes.”

Food writer Alex Goetzfried, who has cooked for restaurants in New York City and the Hamptons, will join Hirsch in the kitchen.

A  portion of Sunday’s Supper proceeds will go to the ongoing mission of Cormaria Retreat in Sag Harbor, which offers hospitality to people of all faiths for spiritual and human growth.

Sunday Supper and Autumn Farm Experience will run from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 23.

Along with Hirsch and Goetzfried, members of the Sep family will also be in attendance. This is an opportunity to experience a real working family farm, so families are encouraged to attend this casual outdoor event.

Tickets for adults are $20 per person plus a $1.69 fee. Children, ages 6 to 12, are $10 plus a $1.14 fee. Children under 6 are free. To purchase tickets in advance go to eventbrite.com.

Sep’s Family Farm is located at 7395 Main Road in East Marion. For more information about the farm visit sepsfarm.com. For questions about the Sunday Supper email [email protected].
