When we asked our Instagram followers to use #northforkerfourth on all their holiday fun photos this weekend we didn’t expect to get as big a response as we did, with more than 125 people using the tag.
By the time we started narrowing the photos down Monday morning, we ended up with 45 finalists whose photos we’ve published here. Among them are 20 contest winners whose prize will be to see their Instagram photo on the northforker cover in Thursday’s issues of The Suffolk Times and Riverhead News-Review.
These photos capture both people celebrating the holiday and everything the North Fork has to offer from the farms and beaches, to the people we all call family and friends.
