The much-anticipated opening of Phil’s Waterfront Bar & Grill in Aquebogue is set for noon Monday, the Lighthouse Marina announced in a press release Friday evening.

The restaurant, which is based at the marina, will be run by the Marcario family, which has owned and managed Phil’s Restaurant and Sports Bar on Route 25A in Wading River for the past 25 years.

They are the real deal and run a tight ship at their successful establishment [in Wading River],” Marina owner Alex Galasso said in a statement, adding that the two local business families have been friends for many years.

Chef Tom Lopez, formerly of the Bayview Inn in Jamesport, will run the kitchen, according to the announcement.

The restaurant, which was completely renovated during its transition from the former Meeting House Creek Inn, will feature both indoor and outdoor bars along with interior and dockside seating. Marina clients can also choose to be served on their boats, said Mr. Galasso, who credited his late wife Christine with helping to make the opening of the new Phil’s possible.

The restaurant will be open year-round from noon to midnight, closing only on several major holidays.
