Ever since we first learned more than a year ago that you soon won’t have to cross Route 105 to pick up an order of Phil’s Buffalo wings we’ve been salivating.

Located at the former Meeting House Creek Inn location in Aquebogue, Phil’s Waterfront Bar and Grill is a second location from the owners of the popular Phil’s Restaurant and Sports Bar in Wading River.

Anyone who knows Phil’s, knows it’s truly one of the best neighborhood bars on Long Island. Now you’ll be able to get the Phil’s experience on the opposite end of Riverhead Town at a newly renovated waterfront location.

Just as its name and location suggests, the restaurant features marina views, a nautical theme and both an indoor and outdoor bar. Like Phil’s in Wading River there are plenty of TVs to keep up with the game and the food is sure to taste a heckuva lot better than your average pub fare.

While the opening date is unofficial and a closely guarded secret we’ve promised to keep, we can say the restaurant has said on its Facebook page that it expects to open for business before the end of the month.

The Phil’s team graciously allowed us to enter the new space this week for a few sneak preview photos. We’re really looking forward to joining our northforker readers there this summer.

Phil’s Waterfront Bar & Grill will be nicely tucked away at 177 Meeting House Creek Road in Aquebogue. Like the restaurant’s Facebook page for updated information about the opening.
