Chef Hayden’s Farmers Market

Shop Chef Hayden’s Farmers Market on Friday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to noon in Southold.

Named after the late chef Gerry Hayden of the North Fork Table and Inn, the market features 15 local farms and food producers like Browder’s Birds and North Fork Roasting Co. The North Fork Food Truck will also be there serving delicious dishes.

Long Island Native Plant Sale

Buy native plants for your garden on Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Riverhead.

The Long Island Native Plant Initiative will hold its annual native plant sale on the Eastern Campus of Suffolk County Community College. Shop for over 40 species of plants like wildflowers, shrubs, trees, grasses and cactus.

Friday Nights at Jamesport Vineyards

Enjoy small plates, wood-fired flatbreads and wine by the glass and bottle on Fridays this summer from 5 to 9 p.m. at Jamesport Vineyards.

The vineyard is celebrating its 30th anniversary every Friday. Get two glasses of wine and a wood-fired flatbread pizza for $19.86.

First Fridays on Love Lane

The North Fork’s only evening market returns to Love Lane every Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Attractions include small bites and sips for a few dollars each, plus live music.

Love Lane is located in Mattituck, between Main Road and Route 48.

Salt Air Farm Tour

Tour a real working farm in Cutchogue on Saturday, June 4, at 11 a.m.

The Mattituck-Laurel Historical Society will host tours of the farm. A donation of $5 per person is suggested; children under 12 are free. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided.

Historic House & Music Tour

Enjoy music at historic houses on the North Fork on Saturday, June 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Rites of Spring music festival will host open houses in Orient, Greenport and Southold for live classical music performances in collaboration with the Arcanum String Quartet. There will also be a wine, chocolate and cheese reception.

The event costs $70 per person. For more information visit ritesmusic.org.  Register and pick up an information packet on Saturday between 10 and 11 a.m. at the Webb House at 1555 Village Lane in Orient.

North Fork Pig Roast

Attend a pig roast for a good cause on Saturday, June 4 from 4 to 7 p.m.  when East End Hospice hosts its 22nd annual pig roast at Pindar Vineyards in Peconic.

Enjoy roasted pig with sides like smoked beans, cornbread, salads, hot dogs, beverages and dessert. Food will be served from 4 to 6 p.m., drinks and live music will last until 7 p.m.

Strawberry Farm Brunch

Enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast brunch on Sunday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Riverhead.

Garden of Eve’s buffet is strawberrycentric with strawberry muffins, shortcake, and parfait, to name just a few. There will also be more traditional brunch items on the menu.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids.

Duck Pond Day

Enjoy festival crafts and food on Sunday, June 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Wading River.

The Wading River Historical Society will hold its annual craft festival with artisan crafts, food, kid’s activities and a parade.
