The new owner of the highly-renovated Duncan Inn in Jamesport is looking to showcase the work he’s put into the property since he purchased it in December.
What better way, he figured, than to host a community barbecue that’s open to the public Friday?
“This is sort of a wrap-up party and a chance to come meet the new neighbor,” said Inn owner Duncan Kennedy. “We have upgraded everything, giving it a completely different look and feel.”
The barbecue will be held this Friday, June 3, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Kennedy’s slogan for the Inn is “affordable style and comfort.” Every room was re-painted, with new flooring, furniture, artwork and bedding. Coffee makers, refrigerators, microwaves, irons and boards were added, while the premium rooms and junior suites also feature upgraded bathroom products, robes and slippers.
“The motel is much more comfortable now and we have been getting nothing but positive feedback and great reviews from guests, who have been surprised and delighted,” Kennedy said.
The barbecue will feature wine and a chance to win a free night’s stay at the Duncan Inn.
