Long Island Sustainable Winegrowing is a non-profit which aims to provide education and certification for sustainable wine-grape production.

Rory MacNish is a lifelong Cutchogue resident who has been using his skills as a photographer and videographer to document the beauty of the North Fork for decades.

Recently MacNish and LISW partnered to produce an informational video about the organization’s mission, which also captures stunning images of our local Wine Country.

“This project has been very fulfilling,” MacNish said in a recent press release about the video. “I’ve been able to see the passion of the LISW members who strive for sustainability, which ultimately protects us and our environment and creates a great product. I’m proud to have helped them create an informative documentation of who they are and what they do.”

MacNish is the multimedia specialist at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County. Grants from the New York State Wine and Grape Foundation made production of the video possible.

There are currently 19 vineyards and wineries with over 1,000 acres under the LISW certification program.
