Chicken Chat 201

Learn about raising and caring for chicks and laying hens on Friday, April 29 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Talmage Farm Agway in Riverhead.

They’ll discuss egg development, nutrition, expanding your flock, feeding programs, housing, sanitation, plus there will be time for a Q&A. There will be another presentation on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The presentation is free, but reservations are required and can be made by calling (631) 727-3100.

The Supreme Beings

Northeast Stage presents the new stage comedy “The Supreme Beings,” a play that asks the question,“What if God was one of us,” at Holy Trinity Church.

Performances are on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30 at 8 p.m. There will also be a matinee on Sunday, May 1 at 5 p.m. Tickets are $18 at the door.

Holy Trinity Church is located at 768 Main Street in Greenport.

Antiques Fair and Country Bake Sale

Shop for antiques and home baked goods in Cutchogue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.
Hosted by the Old Town Arts and Crafts Guild, the event is free and there will be 25 vendors selling their goods (rain or shine). For more information call (631) 734-6382 or visit Old Town Arts and Crafts Guild.

Unlock the Shinnecock

Learn how to maneuver a boat through Shinnecock Locks safely, enter and exit the locks in confidence aboard a Strong Marine’s boat from Mattituck beginning at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 1.

Sign in by 8:45 a.m. as boats depart from Strongs Marine on the Bay in Mattituck at 9 a.m. sharp. Tickets are $15 per person. For more information and to reserve a spot call Jacy at (631) 298-4770, EXT. 10

Spring Migratory Birding

Observe Spring’s migratory birds during a guided walk through Downs Farm Preserve at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 1.
