Roanoke Love Lane

Enjoy the cooking of chef Lia Fallon paired with some tasty new releases from Roanoke Vineyards during the “Spring Saturdays” series at the vineyard’s Love Lane tasting room.

Fallon, formerly of the now-shuttered restaurants Amarelle in Wading River and The Riverhead Project, will be in the tasting room cooking dishes paired with Roanoke wines like the newly released 2015 rosé or The Wild chardonnay.

“You can shoot the breeze with the chef while she’s cooking your food,” said Robin Epperson-McCarthy, the vineyard’s senior sommelier and director of education.

On April 23 enjoy seafood options like roasted clams with rosé ($20) or seafood bisque with 2014 Rhyme & Meter chardonnay ($20).

On May 7 select from duck options like pâté, confit or grilled duck breast paired with Roanoke wines.

Vegetarian options will be available as well.

The events will be held at the Mattituck tasting room (165 Love Lane) and will run from noon to 4 p.m. on April 23, May 7, May 14, May 21 and May 28.

Prices begin at $15, depending on your choice of food.

Although Roanoke Vineyards’ Sound Ave. became private for wine club members, the Love Lane location is still open to the public. You do not have to be a wine club member to attend the tasting series.
