As the spring season kicks off and the North Fork comes back to life, many businesses — think wineries, breweries and restaurants — are looking for help. Who knows? You might find an awesome job out here.

Love to cook and think you’ve got what it takes to become a professional in the kitchen? Caci North Fork Restaurant in Southold is looking for a a line cook for its pasta station.

For owner Daniele Cacioppo, motivation and drive are just as important, if not more so, than culinary experience.

“We typically like to train someone for all aspects of the kitchen,” she said. “We did hire someone with very little experience and she happens to be our sous chef now.”

Resumes should be sent to executive chef Marco Pellegrini at: [email protected].

If you want to spend time manning a food truck, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company is looking for someone to do just that.

“We’re looking for that and a chef for our restaurant as well,” said co-founder John Liegey. “It would include the food truck and the kitchen in the new addition we’ll be opening this summer.”

The position requires a cooking background but entails so much more than that.

“We’re a brewery, so the beer’s first and the food follows,” Liegey said. “They would need to understand what foods should be paired with our beers and be excited about that and have the menu follow that.”

Are you handy with tools and interested in learning the craft beer business?

Greenport Harbor Brewing Company is also looking for an entry-level employee to work in their packaging and cold side. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and interested in everything brewery-related.

“We’re looking for somebody who knows what a screwdriver and a wrench looks like,” Liegey said. “They should be comfortable with them and can troubleshoot machinery.”

This is a salaried, full-time job that provides a great opportunity to learn the craft beer business from one of Long Island’s most successful brewers.

“We want someone who can jump in and lend a hand, that kind of attitude,” Liegey said. “We’ll teach them the areas they’ll be involved in, like the bottling line, filling and washing kegs and filtering the beer, as well as moving into the brewhouse and assisting there.”

To contact Greenport Harbor Brewing Company for either position, email [email protected].

If you’re outgoing and enjoy talking to people, the folks at Brew Crew Cycles in Riverhead are looking for guides to drive their cycles for the 2016 season. You won’t be the one pedaling, but you’ll need the gift of gab as you guide cyclists to the next brewery stop. Knowing your way around Riverhead is a plus.
