Live Music at Hotel Indigo
Michael Ducas will perform live on from 7 to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 11 at Hotel Indigo in Riverhead.
Ducas’ acoustic adaptations of cover songs range from Elvis and the Beatles to the Black Eye Peas, Usher, Mumford & Sons and Adele.
There is no cover charge.

Maker Faire & after party
A Maker Faire, which celebrates the maker movement and highlights creativity, innovation and resourcefulness, will be held on Saturday, March 12 at Riverhead Charter School.
The event, which is hosted by Peconic Community School and runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., is free. All kinds of makers from the Tri-state area will be highlighted, from music makers to welders to beermakers. The Riverhead Charter School is located at 3685 Middle Country Road in Calverton.
Then Greenport Harbor Brewing Company will host an after party from 7 to 10 p.m. in Peconic.
Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks will perform live. Tickets are $30 and include a free pint of beer or glass of wine. There will be a fishbowl auction plus additional beer, wine and food available for purchase.

Museum Exhibit Opening
The Suffolk County Historical Society will host an opening reception for its exhibit “When the Broadbill was King on Great South Bay” on Saturday, March 12 at the Riverhead museum.
The exhibit is a look back at Long Island’s waterfowl history during the period when hundreds of thousands of broadbill ducks were hunted on big broadbill rigs. The exhibit includes folk art, historic photographs, a scooter boat and a documentary film.
There will be a free opening reception at 1 p.m. and light refreshments will be served. The exhibit runs through August 27.

Watercolor Painting Class
The Cutchogue Library will hold a watercolor painting class on Saturday, March 12 in Cutchogue.
Enjoy an afternoon of introductory watercolor instruction. The class runs from 1 to 3 p.m. and each participant will take a watercolor painting home at the end of class. All supplies are provided and refreshments will be served. There is a material fee of $5 and registration is required.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The 12th Annual North Fork Chamber of Commerce/Cutchogue Fire Department St. Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off on Saturday, March 12th at 2:00 p.m.
