Long Island Winterfest – Live on the Vine Kickoff party

The 9th annual music festival kicks off its five week event and concert series at the Suffolk Theater on Friday, Feb. 19.

Long Island rockers Miles to Dayton, acclaimed roots guitarist Toby Walker and singer-songwriter Andrew Fortier will headline the show.

Tickets are $25 at the door, theater doors will open at 6:30 p.m.The Suffolk Theater is located at 118 E. Main Street in Riverhead. Tickets are limited and can be purchased by calling the theater box office at (631) 727-4343 or online at suffolktheater.com.

Weekend of Trains at Reichert Center

Train lovers converge for two days at the Southold Historical Society’s model train exhibition this Saturday, Feb. 20 and Sunday, Feb. 21.

There will be activities for kids, as well. At 2pm each day, Don Fisher, the President of the Railroad Museum of Long Island will speak on train layouts. The event runs 1 to 4 p.m. both days.

Winter is for the Dogs Comedy Night

North Fork Animal Welfare League hosts its third annual comedy fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 20.

Comedy headliners include ex-fireman John LaRocchia, Jason Salmon, Ellen Karis and Paul Corrigan. A portion of proceeds will go to the NF Animal Welfare League, which runs both the Riverhead and Southold Town animal shelters.

Tickets are $30 in advance online (click here to purchase) or $40 at the door. This event is for those 21 and over and all ticket sales are final. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is first-come, first-served.

Osprey’s Dominion vineyard in Peconic will host the fundraiser. It is located at 44705 Main Road in Peconic. For more information call (631) 471-6335.
