Bust out your shamrock-adorned T-shirts and polyester red beards — the March of the Leprechauns pub crawl is returning to Riverhead.

The event, now in its second year, will raise money for the Peconic Ballet Foundation and the East End Emerald Society. The latter will host the Jamesport St. Patrick’s Day parade, set for March 19 at 2 p.m.

The pub crawl, which will feature deals and promotions at participating businesses, kicks off Saturday, March 5 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at participating bars and restaurants or by calling The Suffolk Theater at (631) 727-4343.

Green attire is encouraged and the event’s mascot, Flatty Paddy, is expected to make an appearance.

“This year Flatty Paddy will join the festivities as the official mascot of March of The Leprechauns encouraging the spirit of the event while rewarding participants with prizes from venues for posting photo’s on their social media pages of themselves with Flatty Paddy and the hashtag #FlattyPaddy,” reads a press release from The Suffolk Theater.

Similar events, like the popular Santacon pub crawl in December, have drawn an estimated 1,500 people to the downtown area, according to the theater.

Participating vendors are as follows: The Suffolk Theater, Vines and Hops, Joe’s Garage and Grill, Tweed’s, Crooked Ladder Brewing Co., Digger’s Ales and Eats, Cliff’s Rendezvous, Riverhead Diner and Grill, Hotel Indigo East End, Jerry and the Mermaid and Uncle Joe’s Pizza.
