Tractor and cosmos at Sound Shore Market & Farms on Sound Avenue in Jamesport.

The sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers and eggplants have been harvested. Only a few pumpkins and squash linger in the fields. And there are no more pick-your-own veggie or peaches signs dotting Sound Avenue.

But some farms continue to produce and their colorful crops provide a muse for artistic creations on the North Fork before the soon-to-come hard frost.
