Stuck with no Father’s Day plans? Or are you just out of ideas?  There are plenty of great ways to celebrate the parent who knows best on the North Fork this Sunday, June 21.

Here are five ideas that are sure to be a home run for dad this weekend. And Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!

Take Dad to Love Lane.

On Sunday June 21, from 2 pm to 5 pm, join Roanoke Vineyards and Waters Crest Winery and celebrate Father’s Day by doing absolutely nothing. Celebrity chef Tom Shaudel will be making mango BBQ ribs, skirt steak, smoked potato salad and chipotle spiked corn bread. Love Lane Kitchen will be making crab cakes and Lombardi’s on Love Lane is bringing the dessert. Resident oysterman Marty Byrnes will also be on hand from 12pm to 4pm to open a dozen oysters for dad. Plus there will be wine (plenty of wine.) General admission is $65. $60 for Roanoke wine club members. Roanoke Vineyards wine bar is located at 165 Love Lane in Mattituck, NY. If Dad’s a Wine Lover …

All this weekend Roanoke Vineyards will be previewing their 2012 Gabby’s Cabernet Franc. Get a glass or take home a whole bottle; this is the one weekend out of the year when the 2012 will be available. Roanoke Vineyard is located at 3543 Sound Avenue in Riverhead, NY. Cheers & BBQ for Dad

On Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm join Sparkling Pointe for its annual Cheers for Dad Father’s Day Barbeque. Enjoy a mixed grill by The Kitchen by Waterside Caterers, local beer by Hook & Lager, Sparkling Pointe wine and live music by Nightingale Jazz Band. Tickets are $45 per person and include unlimited mixed grill menu and one glass of Sparkling Pointe Blanc de Blancs. $40 for wine club members. (Additional wine and beer sold separately.) Strawberries for Dad

Dads get in for free on Father’s Day at the 61st Annual Mattituck Strawberry Festival. Festival hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The traditions of the festival include fresh strawberry shortcake, strawberry daiquiris and chocolate covered strawberries. Plus enjoy tons of rides, food, arts and crafts vendors, and live music. The Strawberry Festival is located at 1175 Route 48 in Mattituck. Admission is $5 for all other adults and children over 5. Kids under 5 get in for free too.

Farm Fest for Dad

On Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, Dad gets in free at Harbes Farm‘s Barnyard Adventure for the Father’s Day Farm Fest. Activities will include kite flying, singing hayrides and wine tasting. Master Bee Keeper Chris Kelly will make presentations both days that will include the new Bee Hive Observation Tower. Those presentations will take place at 2 p.m. and at 4 p.m. Weekend admission is $11.95 for everyone aged 2 and up. Harbes Farm is located at 715 Sound Avenue in Mattituck, NY.
