Music producer Nile Rodgers will host a two-day festival at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead this August featuring big name acts like Pharrell, Beck, Duran Duran and many more, the performer and songwriter announced on his Facebook page this morning.

“The 1st town of the Hamptons on the North Fork. Just 1’/2 hrs from the city. SUPER EASY to get to,” Rodgers said on Facebook today.”That’s not all! Of course [Rodge’s group] CHIC will be playing as well as hip hop legends Q-tip Eric B. – Keith Urban’s going to play as well as Paloma Faith and many more to be named.”

The event, dubbed FOLD (Freak Out Let’s Dance), is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 4 and 5. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 12, according to Rodgers.

Other performers mentioned in the post were Chaka Khan, Janelle Monáe and The Martinez Brothers.

Rodgers, a Grammy Award-winning performer, writer and producer and a member of the group Chic, was involved in a similar concert at Martha Clara two years ago and attempted to stage one last year, but had to cancel because of insufficient planning time.

The 2013 event, which featured Adam Lambert and Avicci, raised $70,000 for East End charities and brought more than 5,000 people to Riverhead.

Rodgers, who was a co-writer and performer on the Daft Punk megahit “Get Lucky,” has said he plans to make it an annual event.

“I know that we can do something incredible here that is on par with the Sundance Film Festival,” Rodgers told the Riverhead Town Board in 2014.

Organizers told town officials they expect 10,500 people each day of the festival, which will run from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Riverhead Town issued a permit for the 2015 event on Feb. 3.

Representatives from Martha Clara Vineyards did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
