Kenney's beach early summer

This week’s Sunday Scene comes to us from reader Stanley Siejka of Southold.

Siejka, 61, a retired Grumman air traffic control supervisor, was taking a leisurely morning stroll to Kenney’s Beach when he spotted a glimpse of the Sound through the dunes.

“[I was] just checking out our beach at the end of my road,” he said in an email. “[I was] admiring the moment and froze it in time.”

The inviting scene makes us want to kick off our flip flops and run straight into the water. Today’s forecast called for a high of 75 degrees with a chance of showers after 2 p.m. so enjoy the sunshine while you can.

Happy Sunday, everyone!
