Relive those childhood memories of scribbling in your driveway with a pack of colorful sidewalk chalk in downtown Riverhead this weekend.

Artists of all ages will be decorating Main Street with chalk “paintings” during the 19th annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival sponsored by East End Arts.

The event will take place Sunday, May 24, from noon to 5 p.m.

In addition to street painting, there will be a fine arts and crafts fair, live music, food trucks, arts and crafts for kids, a drum circle, life-size board games on the East End Arts lawn and more.

Music and dance acts, hosted by Sheree M.C. Elder, include the Tewa Marimba Ensemble from Bridgehampton High School; performing artist MadeyRey; the duo Mixed Company; the Blue Spruce Cloggers; Fem Fire Belly Dancers; East End Arts students and brothers Ryan and Sam Mancini; and musical scenes from local high school productions.

Rain date is Monday, May 25, 2 to 5 p.m. Visit eastendarts.org or call 727-0900.
