With a rock and roll soul and heartfelt lyrics, Long Island-based singer/song writer Bryan Gallo is one to watch.

His alternative rock sound has gained him Island-wide recognition. He previously headlined The Patchogue Theatre For The Performing Arts’s Live In The Lobby series and performed at the Great South Bay Music Festival.

You’ll have your chance to catch him play on the North Fork this Sunday when Gallo takes the stage at Jason’s Vineyard for the first weekend of the Winterfest: Live of the Vine series.  Starting Feb. 21 the Winterfest concert series is back with live music and more at East End venues. The festival runs through March 29.

And while there are plenty of events to check out during Winterfest, we recommend making Gallo’s performance on Sunday one of them.

Now in its eighth year the six-weekend festival is no longer limited to jazz artists. In fact Gallo likens his sound more to Weezer and Ryan Adams.

His songs are inspired by late nights in bars, the backseats of cars and the pressures and consequences of living life romantically, according to his website.

So grab a glass of wine at Jason’s this weekend and relax with Gallo’s music.

He is playing Sunday, Feb. 22 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Jason’s tasting room located at 1785 Main Road in Jamesport.

Tickets are $15.
