This North Fork home offers a connection to American history with its waterfront view.

Robert Rust, a former U.S. attorney who helped diffuse a suicide bomber’s attempt to assassinate President-elect John F. Kennedy in 1960, has put his family’s summer home in Cutchogue on the market, Newsday reported

The Nassau Point home is listed for $3.85 milling and features five bedroom, each with its own bathroom, five fireplaces and a guest cottage, according to its listing.

The ranch-style house overlooking Wunneweta Pond was bought by Rust’s parents after World War II.

“We all went sailing in Sunfish or Lightnings and fishing on my dad’s wooden boat,” Rust told Newsday.
