The Whitebread ‘Round the Whirl Regatta, the East End’s premiere sailing race, will kick off from the New Suffolk Waterfront on Saturday, Oct. 4.

More than 120 yachts are expected to compete in the 21st annual race around Peconic Bay which runs all day from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Entry is now closed, though spectators are welcome to witness the colorful boats cruise and race around Shelter Island. An after-party and awards ceremony will follow at the New Suffolk Shipyard-Cutchogue Harbor Marina.
