North Fork Table & Inn Southold Dining Room

North Fork Table & Inn, perennially rated Long Island’s best restaurant by Zagat, is on the market, according to the property’s listing agent.

The upscale Main Road eatery, helmed by acclaimed chef Gerry Hayden and his wife Claudia Fleming, has an asking price of $3.8 million, a figure that includes the 7,500-square-foot building, one acre property and business.

“We’ve been marketing it for about two weeks now,” said Lee Minetree, a Saunders & Associates real estate agent who holds the exclusive listing on the property. “The food is absolutely delicious, it is a beautiful place and its a good business to take over.”

Minetree declined to talk about interested buyers.

Saunders traditionally handles high-end real estate in the Hamptons and on Shelter Island.

The property, located at 57225 Main Road in Southold, includes a four-room inn, commercial kitchen, 60-seat dining room and the famed “lunch truck.” The 1800s-era building was renovated in 2006, according to the listing on MLSLI.com.

Hayden, an alumni of Manhattan restaurants Aureole and Amuse and Fleming, formerly of Gramercy Tavern opened the restaurant in 2006 along with partners Mary and Mike Mraz.

Hayden has suffered declining health since being diagnosed with ALS in 2011. The owners could not immediately be reached for comment.
