A night of unique entertainment, extravagant auction items and locally designed memorabilia made for a superb night to commemorate the Greenport Maritime Festival’s silver anniversary Friday.

The event, titled “A Land and Sea Greenport Gala,” took place on the waterfront near Claudio’s under a tent decorated with twinkling lights, seasonal blooms and vignettes emblematic of Greenport.
