Long Island’s oysters farmers and top chefs are coming out for a day of food and wine next Sunday at the third-annual Local Oyster Showcase at Sparkling Pointe Vineyards & Winery.

The event will feature various Long Island oyster farms serving raw oysters as well as local chefs preparing their signature oyster dishes.

Chefs include chef Noah Schwartz of Noah’s in Greenport, chef Tom Schaudel of A Lure Chowder House & Oysteria in Southold and A Mano – Osteria & Wine Bar in Mattituck, chef Robby Beaver of The Frisky Oyster in Greenport, chef Craig Atwood of Jedediah Hawkins Inn in Jamesport and chef Tom Fazio of The Kitchen by Waterside Caterers.

The event is Sunday, Sept. 28 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Sparkling Pointe, 39750 County Road 48, Southold.

Tickets are $40 per person or $35 for signature wine club members and include one dozen oysters and a glass of Sparkling Pointe sparkling wine. Oysters and sparkling wine also available for purchase day of the event.
