Enjoy live music, homemade pizza and a glass of vino — all for a good cause — during a special concert to benefit music and the arts at Diliberto Winery in Jamesport Saturday, Sept. 20, from 1 to 6 p.m.

The event, which coincides with the release of the Manor Lane winery’s 2013 merlot and cabernet franc blend, Cantina, will raise money and awareness for Playing for Change, a music and arts foundation.

The afternoon will feature performances by the following musical groups: Shades of Red, Under the Table & Drinking, Doppelgänger, Grieving for Grace and Tradewinds.

Owner and winemaker Sal Diliberto, a classically trained opera singer and president of the Long Island Wine Council, said he greatly supports Playing for Change’s mission. In a press release, he said a portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to the charity. Guests will also have the opportunity t odonate.

“We have always been a fan of the arts, and strive to promote local musicians at the winery,” Diliberto said. “Many of our staff members are performers in the local schools and groups, and music is one of the way we define ourselves. To host this event and support music programs around the world is great.”

Founded in 2007, Playing for Change is a nonprofit that, according to a press release, wants to “create positive change through music and arts education.”
