Your invited to embrace your childhood cravings and dig in during Southold Historical Society’s annual ice cream social on Saturday. We’re sure the kids won’t complain either.

Each year hundreds of scoops of Hershey’s ice cream are served up along with hot dogs, fresh lemonade and lots of other baked treats. Entertainment can be found around every corner at the Southold museum complex on Main Street, including classic backyard games, antique cars, face painting and live music.

There are also tours of the many historic buildings at the site, including the Pine Neck Barn and the Thomas Moore House.

The annual ice cream social runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 2 at the Southold Historical Society’s museum grounds on the Main Road in Southold.

Admission is free. Tickets are required for food and games.
