Innkeeper Liz MacNish wants to evoke memories of visiting grandma’s house as child when you when you walk in to Andrew’s Legacy Bed and Breakfast in Cutchogue.

Located two properties down from Bedell Cellars on Main Road, the smell of freshly baked cookies floats in the air once you step through the doorway of the Victorian inn.

“We want you to remember what it was like to be at your grandma’s house as a child,” Ms. MacNish said. “It is important to feel a connection to the past.”

Andrew’s Legacy is also within walking or biking distance to six North Fork wineries, the beach, farm stands and shopping.

Other than renovated bathrooms, the main part of the home is pretty much as it was when it was built in the 1920s, providing a historic look back at prohibition-era life on North Fork.

Handmade quilts and vintage linens atop the down feather beds found in the three country bedrooms.

The rooms boast views of either a vineyard or a horse farm and have TV, wifi, DVD player and a private bathroom.
