Cheers! Greenport Harbor Brewing Company’s new Peconic location will open tomorrow Friday, July 4 at noon for its first public tasting.

The new 13,000-square-foot Main Road brewery is the largest of its kind on the North Fork. The location will one day even include a 150-seat restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.

For now, the Peconic brewery will open on weekends from noon to 7 p.m., owner Rich Vandenburgh said Thursday. He and co-owner John Liegey hope to add weekday tastings once the Southold Planning Board grants final site plan approval, which is expected sometime in August.

Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. will celebrate its fifth anniversary in business at the new location on July 12. Tickets will cost $20 and include one free beer. The festivities will run from 3 until 8 p.m. and feature food trucks, live music and brewery tours.

The original tasting room on Carpenter Street in Greenport will remain open.
