Celebrate the summer solstice — and Diliberto Winery’s release of its new 2013 sauvignon blanc — Saturday, June 21, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Jamesport vineyard.
Throughout the day, anyone who stops by the winery will be able to get a free taste of the dry white wine, which owner Sal Diliberto said tastes great.
“It was a wonderful growing season for everyone,” he said of the 2013 harvest. “The fruit was in such perfect condition and the skins were just perfect. Whatever flavors are supposed to be there, are there.”
The day’s events will also feature a raw bar with clams and oysters, pizzas made on-site and live music by pianist Danny Keyes, Mr. Diliberto said.
“It’s a beautiful time at the vineyard,” he said. “It’s the right time to have a release of one of the wines from last year and we’re very happy that it came out as well as it did.”
Diliberto also offers a wine and pizza special every Friday night. Get two glasses and a wood-fired pizza for $25.
