Things we love: Harbes strawberry lemonade and apple cider doughnuts

We at Northforker recommend capping off a long day at the wineries or antiquing with this delicious — and inexpensive — local treat from Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck.

Harbes offers strawberry lemonade ($3.25 for a small, $5.25 for a large) made with only fresh strawberries, lemons, sugar and water, and apple cider doughnuts at its Sound Avenue concession stand. The apple cider doughnuts, made fresh using the farm’s secret recipe, are coated in cinnamon ($1 each).

Make it a lunch with tomato and mozzarella on a baguette and add gourmet sweet corn when it is in season later in the year.
