Cherries are in season on the North Fork, but you’ll need to act fast if you want to enjoy them at their peak – the bright red beauties are in season a scant two weeks.

Grabbed your car keys yet? If so, take a drive to Wickham’s Fruit Farm in Cutchogue, where you can pick your own sweet or sour cherries for a one-time fee of $20.

Not enough time to get your hands dirty? The fruit stand sells both varieties for $9 a quart.
